Project description:

This project is designed to ensure that students can act safely in the digital world and to increase their awareness of digital security. During the project, students will learn about the risks they may encounter while using the Internet and social media, learn how to take precautions against these risks, and gain awareness of digital citizenship. In addition, by including parents and teachers in this process, awareness about digital security will be increased and family-school cooperation will be strengthened. By collaborating with other schools in Europe, we will develop common products in the field of digital security and offer cross-cultural knowledge exchange. Our project aims to support our students to take safe and aware steps into the digital world.

Purposes:

To ensure that students act safely in the digital world and to raise their awareness of digital security.

• Inform students about the risks they may encounter while using the Internet and social media and teach them how to take precautions against these risks.

• Raising awareness of digital security and strengthening family-school cooperation by involving parents and teachers in this process.

• To ensure that students gain knowledge and skills on core issues such as fingerprinting, password security and digital bullying.

• Collaborate with other schools in Europe to develop common digital security products and provide cross-cultural information exchange

Expected results:

To ensure that students become digital citizens aware of digital security.

• To improve students' ability to make correct decisions in the face of the situations they encounter in the digital environment.

• Ensure that at least 80% of students have basic knowledge of digital security issues at the end of the project.

• Raise the awareness of teachers and parents about digital security issues and ensure that they receive at least one training during the project process.

• To produce at least one final product (poster, video, e-book, etc.) on digital security with the participation of partner schools.

• Increasing students' skills in solving the problems they encounter in the digital world and reducing cases of digital bullying during the project.

Participation in Coding Week:

EU Programming Week is a grassroots initiative that aims to bring programming and digital skills to everyone in a fun and engaging way.
Because we liked the activities carried out during World Space Week, we thought of organizing an activity during CODE WEEK to celebrate the efforts, contributions and victories of mankind in space science. Together with cosmonauts, in love with space, we coded using the colors of the prepared sheet. The activity was attended by all 3rd grade students from Apold Secondary School, Mureș county ROMANIA. That's how we celebrated CODE WEEK, using the skills available to anyone in a fun and engaging way.
